GHS chemical hazard inkjet roll labels for Primera LX and Epson ColorWorks color label printers, in four materials: glossy inkjet paper, matte inkjet paper, matte polypropylene, and gloss polypropylene. LabelBasic.com stocks all four so you can match the label stock to your container type, chemical exposure, and label design requirements.

Choosing the right material

Glossy inkjet paper produces vivid color with high contrast, suited to indoor chemical storage labels that will not be exposed to moisture or solvents. Matte inkjet paper reduces glare and is easier to read in bright light, also suited to dry indoor environments. For containers that will be handled frequently, stored outdoors, or exposed to water and cleaning agents, polypropylene is the standard choice: matte polypropylene is the most widely used material for secondary chemical container labels because it resists water, solvents, and abrasion without degrading or detaching. Gloss polypropylene offers the same chemical resistance with a more finished appearance, suited to branded chemical products and commercial packaging where presentation matters alongside durability.

GHS labeling requirements

GHS and HazCom 2012 require chemical containers to display a product identifier, signal word (Danger or Warning), GHS hazard pictograms, hazard statements, precautionary statements, and supplier information. Labels must remain legible and attached throughout the expected use of the product. Primera LX and Epson ColorWorks printers produce GHS-format labels on demand from compatible label design software, removing minimum order quantities and allowing hazard information to be updated without reprinting a full run. Contact our team to confirm which material and adhesive is right for your containers and printer model.
