Label applicators automate the full label placement process, peeling the label from the liner and pressing it onto the product in a single motion. Unlike dispensers, which present a label for manual pick-up, applicators handle both peel and apply, delivering consistent placement at speeds that manual labor cannot match.

Flat and bottle applicators

Flat-surface (tamp) applicators use a pneumatic or electric pad that descends to press a label onto a flat product face such as the top of a box, a flat bag, or a pallet lid. Bottle applicators wrap a label around a cylindrical container in a rolling motion, applying the full label in one pass. Both types use a peel plate to strip each label from the liner and hold it for placement. The applicator type must match your product geometry: a flat-applicator label applied to a round bottle will wrinkle and lift at the edges.

Semi-automatic and automatic applicators

Semi-automatic applicators require an operator to position the product and trigger the apply cycle via a foot pedal or button. Automatic applicators integrate with a conveyor and use a product-detect sensor to trigger each apply cycle without operator intervention, suitable for sustained production speeds. If you are unsure which type fits your line speed and product, contact our team and we will match the right applicator to your requirements.
