Color Label Printing

For C6000 and C6500 printer owners, a little treat may be coming your way. Epson is currently planning to launch 2 new styles of inks for printer owners. They recently announced that they will soon be offering inks that are optimized for both gloss and matte label prints.

As a result of the new ink rollout, Epson will also be releasing a new software update shortly that will allow you to use the new ink cartridges. This software update will make the printer and new cartridges compatible while also improving the existing print quality for other inks the printer uses. 

This update should be released around the same time as the new ink series (early 2021). The firmware will have to be updated manually unless you have recently bought one of these printers.

One last interesting tidbit that Epson has announced is that they are upgrading their packaging to include a “doggy door” for a customizable ink cartridge. This is another new feature that aims to allow more versatility when it comes to printing.
